"My Childhood Memories."
Submitted by Rebecca Loh, NYP
A photography competition celebrating Ray Kroc's successful franchising of McDonald's restaurants. Show us what McDonald's means to you and stand to win attractive prizes!
Maybe you haven't, but we're sure you've dined at one of the restaurants that he's indirectly helped to set up - they're where you got the Happy Meals you used to love as a child (and perhaps still do) that came with your favourite cartoon characters. Remember how you used to pester Mom and Dad to head for McDonald's just so you could get that toy?
Fast forward to 2007. You're older now, and there's no better way to spend a lazy afternoon after school than hanging out at the nearest McDonald's restaurant with your pals, just chillin' and studying for that Math test next week amid fun, laughter and camaraderie. Great tasting food, great value, great company. What more could you ask for?
In some way or another, we're sure McDonald's has had an impact on your life - and we want to know how. Take a photo to show us what McDonald's means to you - whether it be cramming for that all-important final exam with greasy fries and a Coke by your side, sharing a special moment with that special someone over a Hot Fudge Sundae, or simply soaking in the ambience as you dine at one of it's restaurants.
The best entries of this photography competiton will be showcased at a mini-event to be held in Temasek Junior College on 13 July 2007, and stand to win attractive prizes! Entry guidelines can be found on this website, and we've included samples in the post below below for your reference. Send us your best entries today!
Submit a photograph, which represents what McDonald's means to you to tjmcworld@gmail.com, including your name, CG (for TJC students), school/organisation (for public), age, contact number and e-mail address.
This photography competiton is open to everyone and anyone.
All entries will be posted on this website.
We will select the 10 photos we feel best examplify the theme. They will be exhibited at a project showcase held in Temasek Junior College (TJC). (Date TBC)
TJC students who visit our group's booth will then vote for their favourite photograph. The photograph which receives the most votes will win its owner a prize kindly sponsored by McDonald's.
Ensure that the resolution of the photograph is the highest possible.
Each photo must be accompanied by a caption or short write-up of no more than 50 words with regard to the theme, 'McDonald's and You'.
Winners of the competition will be notified and given further instructions as to the printing of entries for the project showcase. (Date TBC)
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entertained.
